Alison sustained a severe Traumatic Brain Injury in 2023. She fights for her life every day and has never given up from the day she was severely injured. Because of Alison, we know that we have this ONE life and we need to make everyday count and never take what we love for granted. Three things are for certain - We love to be outdoors, we love to work hard, and we love our family. We want our family’s future to be filled with happiness and pride.Â
Alison Klardie, 17 years old, grew up in Derry, NH attending Barka Elementary, Hood Middle School and is currently a Pinkerton Academy student. Alison’s loves in life are her cats and dogs, including her new service dog, Yukon, her best friend Jaymie, Motocross, and working out with her new friends/exercise instructors at Project Walk.Â
At the age of 15, Alison was severely injured in an accident caused by the recklessness of another. Alison sustained a life-threatening head injury and was hospitalized in Rhode Island for 6 months followed by a 4 month in-patient rehabilitation stay in Boston. Because her severe traumatic brain injury, Alison is unable to walk, purposely move her left arm, and has very minimal purposeful movement of her right arm. She is unable to speak and is continually battling repeat pneumonias. Alison pushes herself to the limit everyday to regain strength of her abilities with physical, occupational, speech, and exercise therapy. Along with Alison’s amazing will to live and perseverance, backed by a strong faith, we are hopeful that our family’s life will have a brighter future with the success of our family’s business. Our hope is to ensure Alison continually receives all of the very best supports and recovery services she deserves.Â
Thank you for reading Alison’s story and for considering our family’s tree service for your home and yard safety.
